Project Overview
The iconic Eumundi Hotel, a landmark in Queensland’s Sunshine Coast and the latest venue by The Comiskey Group, was undergoing a major renovation, and Capture All was brought in to provide accurate site documentation.
Our team utilised advanced 3D scanning technology to capture the building’s interior and exterior, ensuring that every detail was meticulously recorded. We were able to do this while patrons were dining as our technology blurs out faces, respecting privacy. Our easy to use, wearable equipment meant we were able to quietly and quickly move throughout the building keeping disruption to a minimum.
Challenge
The renovation required precise measurements of the hotel’s complex architecture, including hard-to-reach areas that posed challenges for traditional surveying methods. Without accurate site data, the project risked delays, costly rework, and inconsistencies between the original design and actual construction.
Solution
Capture All conducted a full 3D scan of the Eumundi Hotel, capturing every aspect of the building with millimetre accuracy. The scans were completed quickly, reducing the time spent on-site, and were accessible two weeks later, through our cloud platform, for easy collaboration between the architects, builders, and project managers.
